Overview:

We are seeking a passionate, driven, and self-motivated leader with a strong culinary background to manage the operations for a boutique Deli & Restaurant and the F&B services at a luxurious Country House, strategically located in the picturesque valley of Tulbagh. Our client is known for fresh local produce, chef-driven dishes, bakery items and crafted dining experiences.

Core Responsibilities:

• Culinary & Operational Leadership: Leverage your chef background to oversee menu development, kitchen standards, and plate consistency, ensuring the food quality remains the hallmark of our client’s reputation
• Marketing & Brand Growth: Work together with the Managing Director to drive the promotion of both venues through creative marketing, social media presence
• Proactive Management: Take the initiative to identify growth opportunities, refine operational workflows, and lead the team with passion
• Event Coordination: Oversee the full lifecycle of events, from creative planning and precise costing to hands-on execution
• Financial & Payroll Control: Manage procurement, menu costing, and execute data-driven rostering that aligns staffing levels with business volume to strictly control payroll costs
• Food Safety & Compliance: Maintain uncompromising standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation in accordance with all South African health and safety regulations

Core Requirements:

• Experience: Proven track record in boutique restaurant management or luxury hospitality, preferably within the Western Cape
• Skills: Exceptional financial literacy (costing and budgeting), proficiency in rostering systems, and advanced event project management skills
• Leadership: A hands-on, proactive leadership style capable of bridging the gap between deli/restaurant operations and the boutique hospitality needs of Diggers our client’s luxurious Country House
• Location: Ability to effectively manage operations across sites within the Tulbagh area

Remuneration Package:

• Competitive Basic Salary (Accommodation package available)

Consideration

Candidates, who are already residing in local vicinity of Tulbagh will have preference. We can only consider South African Citizens or applicants who hold a valid South African Permanent Residence!
