Pick Me Recruitment has an opportunity for an experienced, Executive Chef with strong leadership skills, a mature mindset, wanting to make his / her mark in the food world and use this opportunity as their spring board to fame. This modern, all-day eatery and wine bar is nestled in the heart of Rosebank’s foodie district. Our Client’s extensive menu celebrates cuisines from around the world, offering a refined, casual, and modern approach to dining.

The perfect individual is someone with exceptional culinary skills, with a love for food, experience in running and managing high-end restaurants, quality driven, a leader, stable and able to perform under pressure. 

Must be proficient in Micros and Gaap. 

Experience

• A formal Culinary Education 
• Minimum of 5 years‘ experience as a Head / Executive Chef in a high-end hospitality environment  
• Exceptional culinary skills
• Must be proficient in Micros and Gaap
• Responsible for menu planning and costing recipes, food consumption, strict stock controls, stock management, stock movement, rotation, ordering and supplier liaison
• Excellent control of food cost, wastage and kitchen preparation
• Ongoing staff training and development 
• Ensuring the team has high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety 
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
• Proven track record with examples and references
• Matric

Candidates, who are already residing in the local vicinity of Rosebank (Jhb) will have preference. We can only consider South African Citizens or applicants who hold a valid South African Permanent Residence!
