Our Client is a high-end, boutique catering company in Paarl, known for exceptional quality, personalized service, and event excellence.
We are seeking a talented Snr CDP or Jnr Sous Chef with a strong culinary and catering background, excellent knowledge of catering operations, familiar with using state of the art cooking techniques, execution of high quality menus for all catering events. Someone who is forward thinking, resourceful with excellent communication and operational skills. Formal Culinary Qualification preferred.
It is a pre-requisite to have a valid driver’s license and own reliable transport. Applicants need to reside in the local vicinity of Paarl / Franschhoek.
Key Requirements & Skill
- Proven experience in a high-end hospitality environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavour profiles, and presentation
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Culinary creativity and innovation
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Time management and organizational proficiency
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Effective communication and collaboration with kitchen staff
- Applicants currently residing in the Winelands region will receive preference

- Market related salary (Dependant on Experience)
Consideration
Candidates, who are already residing in the local vicinity of Paarl / Franschhoek will have preference. We can only consider South African Citizens or applicants who hold a valid South African Permanent Residence! No Work Permit applications will be accepted! Applicants, who live in other provinces of South Africa still need to attend personal interviews and if requested to do any cook-offs, will do so completely at their own expense.
