Overview
Our client, an upmarket restaurant in Franschhoek, is looking to employ an experienced Restaurant Manager to develop and maintain an exceptional level of service. The ideal individual is highly customer and service -focused and has a strong background relating to hospitality.
This is a dynamic career building opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated individual, who is detail orientated, calm and able to perform under pressure. Stable track record essential.
A pre-requisite is that the individuals resides in the Winelands area.
Position Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in an upmarket restaurant environment
- Qualification in Hospitality / Restaurant Management will be advantageous
- Own Transport
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer Literate
Key Accountabilities:
Customer Engagement:
- Manage reservations
- Offer an exceptional food and wine experience
- Ensure that waiters are knowledgeable and understand the food offering.
Staff Management:
- Ensure staffs’ appearance adheres to company standards
- Ensure the look, feel and hygiene of the restaurant adheres to company standards
- Lead by example and in doing so, adheres to the company rules and regulations
- Communicates effectively
- Values and respects staff’s input
- Encourages and supports teamwork
Stock Control and Business Management:
- Accurate restaurant bar stock control
- Reconcile daily cash ups
- Process invoices
- Complete and maintain daily reports to management
