Overview
We have an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER to join the team of a high-end Restaurant, strategically located in the vicinity of Paarl. This 250-seater restaurant provide all-day dining experiences in a refined yet relaxed ambiance.
We seek an experienced GENERAL MANAGER with a strong Food and Beverage background, an unwavering passion for service excellence, strong leadership qualities, highly self-motivated, and excels in high-pressure environments.
Position Requirements:
- Qualification in Hospitaltily / Food and Beverage Management beneficial
- At least 5 year’s managerial experience in an upscale, high-volume dining environment
- Previous experience in banqueting beneficial
- Strong ability to manage and develop a team
The Candidate:
- 2 + year’s experience working in a 4 or 5 star hotel in a receptionist or guest services role
- Matric certificate and preferably hotel school qualification (or similar)
- Knowledge and experience of Opera essential (preferably Opera Cloud), Micros, Microsoft
- Office products
- Numeracy and administrative skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English. Other languages will be beneficial.
- Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude even under high pressure
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
