Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Pastry Chef to join our distinguished client situated on a picturesque Wine Estate, strategically located in Durbanville. The restaurant offers a Bistro-style dining experience, serving lunch and dinner daily.
We are looking for a talented Pastry Chef with at least 3 years pastry chef experience in a high pressure environment, experience with stock control and monitoring portion and waste management. Own transport and valid driver’s license beneficial.
As a Pastry Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef. You will be responsible for operating the pastry section of the kitchen and assist in planning production, develop season offerings, recipe engineering, stock control and waste management.
Position Requirements
- Formal Culinary / Pâtisserie Qualification
- Minimum of 3 years pastry chef experience
- Own reliable vehicle and driver’s license beneficial
- Highly organised and detail-oriented with an unwavering passion for the arts of pastry
- Stable track record
