Overview
Our client, a busy upmarket Bistro-Style restaurant situated on a boutique winery in Durbanville, is looking to employ an experienced Pastry Chef, with a passion for pastry and baking.
We are looking for an individual with a formal qualification in Culinary Arts / Pâtisserie, creative, pays attention to detail, with sound knowledge of sanitation principles, patisserie and baking techniques and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced kitchen environment.
As a Pastry Chef, you will take part in the daily pastry section’s production and baking activities.
Position Requirements
- Qualification in Professional Cookery / Pâtisserie
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Pastry Chef role
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle beneficial
- Stable track record
- Creative and passionate about pastry and baking
- High level of attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure

R15 000 Basic (neg)

Candidates, who are already residing in Durbanville Region will have preference. We can only consider South African Citizens or applicants who hold a valid South African Permanent Residence! No Work Permit applications will be accepted! Applicants, who live in other provinces of South Africa still need to attend personal interviews and if requested to do any cook-offs, will do so completely at their own expense.
