The restaurant features a seasonally inspired menu with private dining experiences, exclusive food and wine pairing evenings, delightful high teas and relaxed picnics on the rolling lawns with a popular venue for weddings and events.
We have opportunity for talented chefs to join their team, specifically:
- Senior CDP / Junior Sous Chef: Experienced chef with strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and attention to detail.
- Junior Pastry Chef: Creative pastry chef with a passion for pastry, baking and decorating.

Position Requirements:
- Formal culinary education preferred
- Stable work track record
- Local residency in the Winelands region
Key Responsibilities:
Senior CDP / Junior Sous Chef:
- Menu planning and execution: Assist in planning and executing menus, ensuring high-quality dishes are delivered consistently.
- Kitchen management: Support the Chef de Cuisine in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, plating, and presentation.
- Team leadership: Lead and motivate junior staff members, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Food quality control: Ensure all dishes meet the winery’s quality and presentation standards.
- Inventory management: Assist in managing inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Kitchen maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
Junior Pastry Chef:
- Pastry preparation: Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads to high standards.
- Dessert presentation: Design and plate desserts, ensuring visually appealing presentations.
- Menu development: Assist in developing new dessert menus and recipes.
- Kitchen maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Candidates, who are already residing in the Winelands region will have preference. We can only consider South African Citizens or applicants who hold a valid South African Permanent Residence! No Work Permit applications will be accepted! Applicants, who live in other provinces of South Africa still need to attend personal interviews and if requested to do any cook-offs, will do so completely at their own expense.
