We have dynamic opportunities for experienced CDP, talented COMMIS CHEFS & skilled PASTRY CHEFS at an admired Historic Stellenbosch Wine Estate.
We are seeking driven Chefs to join the culinary team at an admired Historic Wine Estate renowned for its commitment to sustainability, terroir-driven cuisine, and a farm-to-table philosophy.
This is a unique opportunity for dedicated professionals to contribute to a culinary program and aligned with our Client’s estate’s broader vision of excellence. Working closely with the Executive Chef and Head Chef, all Chefs will play a critical role in executing refined, seasonal menus that reflect the agricultural rhythms and pair with the estate-produced wines.
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled CPD, COMMIS CHEFS and skilled PASTRY CHEFS to take ownership of a section in the kitchen, working with the finest seasonal produce and contributing to a menu that tells a story of terroir, tradition, and innovation.
Job Purpose
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the seamless day-to-day operations of the restaurant and Homestead when needed, ensuring outstanding service, guest satisfaction, and team performance. You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef and F&B Manager to create memorable, curated guest experiences that reflect on their terroir and ethos. You will direct operations within the estate and Hotel’s food and beverage outlets to maximize performance and profitability by creating a positive and productive work environment, ensuring superior guest service in compliance with quality, hygiene and operational standards
- For CDP, experience on all kitchen section including both savory and sweet cooking techniques beneficial.
- For PASTRY CHEFS will be able to function in the savoury / hot kitchens as well.
Ideal Individual
We are seeking a dynamic Restaurant Manager with a minimum of 5 year’s luxury hospitality experience, hospitality qualification preferred, WSET / CWA qualification, event management experience (Skilled at coordinating private dining, functions, and tastings), and a strong marketing sense (Ability to assist in promotions or guest engagement initiatives to actively enhance wine sales).

Knowledge, Skill, Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high-end hospitality setting as a Chef
- Qualification in professional cookery is essential
- Own transport and valid driver’s license will be beneficial
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Stable track record
- Candidates already residing in the local vicinity of the winelands region will receive preference
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to adapt to shifting dynamics.
- Warm, polished, and guest-focused demeanor, punctual and able to communicate with confidence.
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and evenings
- A vibrant and responsible approach with a cheerful and service orientated outlook
