Our Esteemed Client is a prestigious South African winery celebrated for its dedication to producing elegant, complex, and age-worthy Chardonnay and red blends, deeply rooted in the exceptional terroir of the Cape Winelands. 

We are seeking a dynamic Tasting Room Manager to lead their team, enhance guest experiences, and drive sales.

Job Purpose: Deliver an unparalleled wine experience, drive sales growth, and manage daily operations to the highest standard.

Core Requirements:

• Qualifications: WSET Level 3/equivalent preferred. Own transport essential. Fluent English & Afrikaans (other languages beneficial)
• Experience: 2+ years’ management in premium wine tasting. Proven DTC sales track record. Hospitality, staff training, event coordination experience. EzyWine/Excel proficiency
• Core Traits: Hospitality-driven, passionate about wine. Expert communicator. Strong sales acumen. Excellent leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills. Reliable, accountable, effective under pressure
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport preferred

Core Responsibilities

• Guest Experience: Oversee tastings, engage guests, foster brand loyalty

• Sales: Achieve/exceed targets (POS, tasting fees, wine club). Grow visitor numbers and repeat business

• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, train, and supervise Tasting Room staff

• Operations: Oversee daily operations, inventory, cash-ups, systems

• Events: Help coordinate and host events

• Compliance: Enforce health & safety, maintain immaculate facilities

• Collaborate with the Direct-to-Consumer Manager to continuously innovate and elevate the guest experience

Candidates, who are already residing in the Cape Winelands Region will have preference. We can only consider South African Citizens or applicants who hold a valid South African Permanent Residence!
