Our Client is a private services company that offers a variety of services to the Healthcare and Hospitality sectors in Southern Africa.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Services Manager to join our client’s team.
The Key role is to oversee and manage the site’s Kitchen Operation, Housekeeping, Laundry, Kiosk / Coffee Shop.
Position Overview & Key Responsibilities :
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Duties
- Planning of Winter and Summer cycle menu’s
- Ordering all stock for food production, cleaning products and laundry services withing budgetary limits
- Stock control, stock taking and stock rotation
- Provides direction to kitchen staff, ensuring execution of all employee duties
- Monitors kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assists in the implementation and management of kitchen and front-of-house policies and procedures throughout scheduled shifts
- Administrative duties
- Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure correct chemicals are used and correct cleaning methods are followed.
- Supervise laundry services to ensure correct procedures and policies are followed
- Planning and implementing the Coffeeshop menu
- Management of all cash in the unit
- Management of coffee shop (if applicable to the unit)
Daily tasks
- Observing all hygiene and safety rules.
- Observing the Company Rules and Regulations
- Supervision of all staff in attendance.
- Continuous on-job training
- Production meeting with all staff in attendance
- Cash-up of takings
- Closing of the day
Weekly tasks
- Stocktaking
- Weekly Report
- Financial Report
- Petty Cash reconciliation
- Meeting with clients
Monthly tasks
- Staff meetings
- Staff training sessions
- Payroll
- Billing of customers
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Function planning and implementation
- Interviewing and hiring personnel when such position open
- Disciplinary actions for minor incidents
- Performance appraisals of personnel
- Planning and implementing new and innovative ideas to stay current and improving our business
Inherent Experience & Skill
- Matric Certificate
- Driver’s license
- Proven work experience in the field of hospitality
- Certification from a Culinary School or relevant Degree in Hospitality Management is beneficial
- Comfortable using a computer, navigating standard office and point-of-sale software
