We have exciting career building opportunities for experienced housekeeping individuals to join their professional team. This luxurious Manor House is exclusive to group sizes of up to 14 guests and provides a “head-in-the-clouds” setting for glamorous and extravagant weddings. The manicured lawns serve as the perfect location for glass marquees and open-air events, and the opulent dining room is ideal for intimate functions, celebrations, board meetings, exclusive birthdays and other private events.
The key role includes meticulous Manor House upkeep and room preparation, attention to detail in all areas, and exceptional guest service.
Qualification, Experience, Skill
- Previous experience in a luxury, 5-star hospitality or hotel environment essential
- Attention to detail in maintaining luxury standards
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends and holidays)
- Knowledge of laundry procedures
- Applicants need to reside in the local vicinity of Stellenbosch
Examples of Key Responsibilities:
- Manor House cleaning and preparation: High standard of cleaning and preparation and sanatization in all areas. This includes thorough cleaning of all surfaces, making beds with high-quality linens, replenishing amenities, and ensuring all furniture is perfectly arranged.
- Floor Care: Maintaining clean and polished floors in all areas.
- Furniture and Fixture Maintenance: Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and decorative items.
- Linen and Laundry Management: This includes careful management of linens and laundry, ensuring a constant supply of clean, fresh linens for guests.
- Special Requests: Addressing guest requests and preferences, ensuring guests enjoy a relaxed and luxurious experience
- Inventory Management: Maintaining an adequate supply of cleaning supplies and guest amenities is crucial, requiring regular monitoring and restocking.
- Quality Control: Regular inspections of rooms and public areas are conducted to ensure that all standards are met and that the environment is consistently pristine.
- Guest Interaction: Providing a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests, including prompt and courteous responses to requests and inquiries.
- Confidentiality and Security: Maintaining guest confidentiality and security is paramount, respecting privacy and ensuring a safe environment.
- Deep Cleaning: Periodic deep cleaning of rooms and facilities to maintain a high level of hygiene and sanitation.
- Specialized Services: Premium housekeeping may also include specialized services such as shoe shining, pressing, or other requests that enhance the guest experience.
- Teamwork and Communication: Effective communication and teamwork among housekeeping staff for maintaining efficiency and ensuring a high standard of service.
