Our esteemed client in Namibia is seeking an experienced Lodge Manager to lead and manage the daily operations and activities of a Luxury, 5-star Lodge. This family-owned Lodge and Game Reserve offers an unparalleled guest experience of Africa and guarantees absolute exclusively for up to 16 individuals. We are looking for a committed individual to be the “face” of our client’s lodge.
Position Overview
The Lodge Manager is overall responsible for and directs the full day-to-day operations, service logistic and activities of the Lodge Team to ensure the Lodge achieves its financial objectives and continually offers an exceptional level of personalised service expected at a luxury 5-star Lodge
Therole implements and monitors the systems and a conditions to ensure optimum operations that enable the lodge operations to provide guests with exceptional hospitality services and a curated guest experience.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in European and Asian Tourist destinations, independently managing luxury properties, with a strong understanding of lodge / hotel operations, finance, and staff management. Passionate about hospitality, ensuring exceptional guest service.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years General Management / Lodge Management experience within a 5-star hospitality environment
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Hotel Management essential
- Advanced computer skills including MS office, including e-mail and internet
- Valid driver’s licence
- Proven track record in managing human resources and financial oversight

Roles & Responsibilities
- The lodge manager will be responsible to manage employees
- The lodge manager will carry supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organisation’s policies and the applicable laws
- It is the lodge Managers responsibility to maintain a good working relationship with the other companies
- The lodge manager will have to involve the financial department in the bookkeeping of the lodge
- It will be the duty of the lodge Manager to manage the business, using the following skills: Planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Invoicing clients, stock take, promoting lodge and customer satisfaction
- Other roles and responsibilities might be assigned from time to time

Remuneration Details
A Competitive Remuneration Package includes accommodation (3 bedrooms, two bathrooms), vehicle, work visa, medical aid and travel to the destination
Employment cycle : 4 weeks on, one week off – but needs to be flexible
Consideration
Candidates, who are already residing in South Africa will have preference. We can only consider South African Citizens or applicants who hold a valid South African Permanent Residence! No Work Permit applications will be accepted!
