Overview

Pick Me Recruitment is seeking an experienced Junior Wedding & Events Co-Ordinator to join an experienced team at a sought after wedding destination establishment in the Stellenbosch wine route. This private wedding and function venue is only a 20 minute drive from Cape Town and offers accommodation. 

The key role is to assist in managing an exclusive wedding venue which is set in an elegant rustic Shed, with its cosy garden courtyard with its boundless scenic options, lush lawns and mountain views, conduct site visits, event co-ordination on the day, event planning, office and admin management, sales. 

The perfect candidate will have the relevant Tertiary Education, previous experience in managing and co-ordinating exclusive weddings and events, able manage stress, detail orientated exceptional communication and planning skills, resourceful and forward thinking, with a stable and proven track record. 

It is a prerequisite that the candidate resides in the winelands vicinity and has a valid driver’s licence & reliable vehicle.  

Employment Conditions

• Contract Term: 1 October 2024 to 31 Mei 2015
• Must be able to work weekends and public holidays 
• 3 Weekends on per month of which one is a ‘standby weekend’ 
• 2 Weeks paid leave over the festive period 

Minimum Requirements

1. Tertiary qualification in Event Management 
2. Social Media management experience beneficial
3. Be able to work under pressure
4. Must have good organization and communication skills
5. Sound F&B knowledge
6. Experience in managing a small team effectively 
7. Own Transport and driver’s license 
8. Able to work weekends and public holidays

Candidates, who are already residing in the Winelands region will have preference. We can only consider South African Citizens or applicants who hold a valid South African Permanent Residence!
