Our client, an Award Winning and Signature Restaurant, situated on an upmarket Estate in Stellenbosch area, is looking to employ an experienced HEAD CHEF to join their dynamic team.  

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Head Chef, with at least 4-5 years Head Chef experience, up to date with international trends, with a strong background relating to sophisticated dining, passionate about food and cooking, experienced in managing the kitchen operations in a high-end kitchen environment, quality driven, a leader, stable, able to perform under pressure with a passion for staff development. 

The Key role will be to oversee and manage the Kitchen operations of this high-end restaurant, menu engineering, costings, waste management, recipes and inventory control, staff management & development.

Applicants already residing in the Winelands region will receive preference. 

Requirements and Experience

  • Qualified in the Culinary Arts
  • Strong operational skill set
  • Confident and excellent communication skills
  • Solid track record
  • Passionate about food and cooking
  • Own vehicle and valid driver’s license will be beneficial

Remuneration Details

R35 000 Basic (neg, relating to experience)

Candidates, who are already residing in the Western Cape will have preference. We can only consider South African Citizens or applicants who hold a valid South African Permanent Residence!
