Position Overview

Our client, a distinguished Catering Company, situated in Brackenfell, is seeking to employ an experienced Head Chef to join their operation. 

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef with a strong culinary and catering background, excellent knowledge of catering and events operations, familiar with using state of the art cooking techniques, able to lead and manage the preparation and execution of high quality menus for all catering and special events. Someone that is forward thinking, resourceful with excellent communication and operational skills.  

It is a pre-requisite to have a valid driver’s license and own reliable transport. 

In the role of Head Chef you will plan, direct food preparation and culinary activities, guest liaison, inventory and supplies management, effectively lead and manage the team, focus on ongoing staff development, maintaining all catering equipment. 

Position Requirements

  • A diploma in Professional Cookery preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle 
  • Previous working experience in the catering industry preferred
  • Excellent record of kitchen management
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Capable of delegating multiple tasks and provide excellent support 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Computer literate 
  • Enthusiasm to develop your own skills & knowledge plus those around you

  • Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the guests
