Overview
We have a unique opportunity for a Seasoned General Manager at a modern 250-seater, all-day eatery and wine bar, nestled in the heart of Rosebank’s thriving foodie district. We are looking for an experienced General Manager, with exceptional operational and leadership skills, strong financial and business acumen and experience in managing a large workforce and growing the sales and profit performance of a high-end restaurant.
Key Role
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for ensuring the overall smooth running of their site and ensuring that housekeeping is up to standard. This includes proactively dealing with maintenance issues, ensuring that compliance is up to date and followed correctly, managing all IT related systems and ensuring that the site embodies the site brand and identity. The GM role is also responsible for managing staff on site, including rosters, performance management, vacancy identification and onboarding and training for all staff. This includes managing security staff and ensuring that security duties are carried out properly. The GM role is also responsible for managing cost and cash management in the site.
Key Position Requirements
- Food and Beverage / Hospitality Qualification essential
- WSET or Similar qualification beneficial
- Culinary experience beneficial
- Minimum of 5 years‘ previous Food, Beverage experience in a high-end hospitality environment
- Strong Financial and Business acumen
- Experience in growing overall sales and profit performance
- Experience in improving operational efficiencies & compliance
- Experience in Compliance management including Labour, Health & Safety and Legal
- Excellent training and development ability

Remuneration
R60 000 CTC (Neg)
