Food and Beverage Manager: Zululand’s Finest Country Inn (Mkuze, KZN)

Overview

Our Client, based in Mkuze, KZN, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to lead their F&B operations, ensuring excellence in service, creativity and profitability. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop the F&B team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Operations: Oversee all F&B outlets, including the restaurant, bar, and event spaces, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Guest Experience: Uphold and exceed guest expectations, ensuring outstanding service at every touchpoint.
  • Staff Development: Ensure that F&B staff are adequately trained.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the executive chef to craft innovative, locally inspired menus that cater to diverse guest preferences.
  • Financial Management: Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, manage stock, and ensure cost control without compromising quality.
  • Event Coordination: Work with the events team to deliver memorable weddings, conferences, and private functions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are adhered to across all F&B operations.

Requirements and Qualification

  • Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Manager or similar leadership role experience in a 4/5 star hotel
  • Diploma or similar in Food Service Management or related field
  • A strong understanding of food and beverage trends, particularly in boutique and
  • luxury setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office, Micros)
  • Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work
  • environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
