Pick Me Recruitment is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the Food and Beverage and Tasting Room Operations at a Wine Estate in Stellenbosch.  The key performance areas includes continued staff development, overseeing a 120-seater Restaurant, Deli operations, all farm events, and the Tasting Room operations. The restaurant offers Asian Fusion cuisine and trades Breakfast and Lunch Wednesdays to Sundays.

The perfect individual needs to have a strong operational background, experience in a similar position with event planning & management skills. The individual should have sound wine knowledge, the ability to lead and manage a team effectively and be driven by a service & guest centric approach focusing on continued staff development. 

It is a pre-requisite that the candidate stays in the local vicinity.

Minimum Requirements and Skills

  • Relevant Tertiary Education will be advantageous 
  • National Senior Certificate 
  • Excellent wine knowledge 
  • Hands-on operator with strong F&B background
  • Ability to effectively lead, manage and develop a team
  • Own Vehicle and Valid Drivers’ Licence 
  • Sound knowledge of inventory management
  • Excellent communication skills on all levels
  • 3+ Years’ experience in a similar position
  • Service and Guest Centric, being actively on the floor tending to guests needs
  • Strong administration skills and computer literate
  • Professional and sophisticated 
  • Detail orientated
